City Commons Club Membership And Meeting Information
City Commons Club was founded in 1910 to present a wide range of ideas on many different topics of public interest. City Commons Club membership is open to all people and does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.
Annual dues are $70 per person and $100 per couple. Membership is open to everyone who pays annual dues. These dues cover the calendar year from January through December. There are no meetings during the months of July and August, and there are a few other holidays on which no meetings are held. City Commons Club is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-partisan organization. We do not take sides in political discussions and we do not advocate for any partisan political positions.

The current cost of the buffet lunch is $17.00 per person, payable at the door. Coffee-only is $1.00 per person. Students are admitted without charge (but they do pay the $17.00 if they wish to have lunch or $1.00 if they have coffee only). If you would like to attend a meeting as a guest, lunch reservations are required so the Club can plan appropriately. Please phone 510 845 - 8055 by 4 p.m. on the Thursday preceeding the meeting to make a reservation.
A pre-lunch social gathering is held in the Venetian Room (second floor) from 11:15 until noon; coffee, soft drinks, and wine are available for purchase.
The lunch buffet is served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Speakers begin their presentations at 12:30, and meetings are adjourned promptly at 1:30.
